Like so many other Marvel characters, Daredevil was born from the very prolific pen of Stan Lee back in 1964. With the drawings of Bill Everett, responsible for creating almost three decades of superheroes, the series would soon begin to change pencils, passing through names like Wally Wood or John Romita Sr. before arriving to the artist who would determine a good part of the classic mythology of Matt Murdock's alter ego. His name, Gene Colan, his legacy, almost eighty stories that won the fans over...

The story revolves around Matthew Murdock, a lawyer who lost his sight as a child because of a truck accident. The truck was loaded with toxic spills, and the contact with these granted special powers that allow him to "see" by means of a radar, like a bat.

Tormented by his blindness and the death of his parents when he was young, Daredevil lives only to make the criminals pay for all the evil he witnessed in his life. His quest will make him cross the path of Kingpin and Bullseye.

Daredevil lives in a world of eternal night, but its darkness is full of sounds and aromas, tastes and textures that most people are not able to perceive. Although attorney Matt Murdock is blind, his other four senses have been sharpened into superhuman powers. By day, Murdock represents the oppressed. At night, it is Daredevil, a masked vigilante who patrols the dark streets of the city, a relentless vigilante.

The fingers of this blind hero can feel the faint markings of ink on a printed page, allowing him to read through touch. He can perceive insignificant changes in the temperature and pressure of the surrounding atmosphere. Daredevil can identify people through smell, regardless of whether they have tried to camouflage their natural smell. He can hear the beat of a heart at a distance of almost seven meters and know if someone is lying because of the change in his heart rate, in addition to identifying people by the specific pattern that their heartbeat has.

Daredevil possesses the acrobatic skills of a circus performer and the faculties to fight of a heavyweight boxer. Although he has studied various techniques of Asian martial arts and American boxing, his fighting style is unique. It includes movements and gestures of many disciplines.

Bullseye’s boss is Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, a self-made millionaire whose criminal empire surrounds Daredevil.

Using his enormous strength and size, Kingpin has reached the top of his chosen profession relying solely on one person: himself. He leads the shallows of the East Coast with an iron hand, and despise failure.

Thanks to years of training and discipline, Kingpin is an extraordinary melee fighter. His ability to fight, coupled with an unusual agility for a person of his size, make him a rival able to fight Daredevil himself as equal.

The weapons that characterize Bullseye is the shuriken, a small metal star with sharp points, although he is equally lethal with any object (be it a pencil, a card or a paper clip).

All these objects and many more become lethal weapons in the expert hands of the man who perhaps holds the dubious title of the best murderer in the world.

Jon Favreau Franklin "Foggy" Nelson

With Kingpin, Bullseye and Elektra making Daredevil's life impossible, it falls to Matt's best friend and partner at Murdock & Nelson's law firm, Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, to provide many of the brightest moments. Although he is a loyal ally, Foggy is completely unaware of Matt's secret identity. His friendship gives Matt some more than necessary solid roots, as well as an even more necessary humor.
